In this lecture we will discuss how to configure different types of password on Cisco Router / Switch; these are Console password, Auxiliary password, Line VTY password and Enable password / Enable Secret. We will also carried out practice of configuring password on these devices in Cisco Packet Tracer. At the end of lecture we will study how to save the configuration in NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) from running configuration. When we configure any Router / Switch the configuration are saved in RAM then we copy that configuration to NVRAM. Also the short command for saving the running configuration is “write”. We will also discuss the “Reload” command that how to reload Router/Switch from Command Line interface.
